Spec Trading (spectrading.com) is a Japanese language forex and CFD site offering MetaTrader 5 accounts with leverage of up to 1000 times, a 50 dollar minimum deposit and a zero cut system. Its footer says payments are handled by Spec Capitals Ltd at an address in Nicosia, Cyprus. Japan’s Financial Services Agency warned on 6 October 2026 that Spec Capitals Ltd solicits Japanese investors without registration.
Written in Japanese, closed to Japan
Here is the part that does not add up. The whole site, from the account table to the risk warning, is written in Japanese. Yet its own list of restricted countries includes Japan. A broker that truly refused Japanese clients would not translate every page for them. The list is there for show.
| Spec Trading says | What we found |
|---|---|
| Leverage | up to 1000x |
| Minimum deposit | $50 |
| Active traders | 12,450 |
| Operator | Spec Capitals Ltd, Nicosia |
| Restricted countries | includes Japan |
| Domain registered | 13 November 2014 |
What 1000x leverage really means
At 1000 to 1, a price move of a tenth of one percent wipes out your whole deposit. Japanese law caps retail forex leverage at 25 times for exactly this reason. A broker that offers forty times the legal limit to Japanese speakers is advertising the risk, not managing it.
The domain itself is old, registered in 2014, which can make a site look established. An old domain proves nothing about who runs it today.
If you opened an account, keep screenshots of your balance, the account table and the restricted country list, since sites like this change their wording once regulators act. Report the platform to the Japan Financial Services Agency or your local regulator, and ask your bank whether a recall or chargeback is still possible.
Remember that a payment agent is not a licence. The footer only says Spec Capitals Ltd handles operations and payments for Spec Trading. It never names a regulator that supervises the trading itself.
