Someone built Pinnacle Vortex Market (pinvortexmarket.com) by taking a forex broker template and replacing the word “trading” with “mining” — everywhere. The result promises “Forex Mining”, “Indices Mining” and warns that “Mining CFDs carries a high level of risk”. The UK FCA has flagged the site (IOSCO I-SCAN, checked 20 October 2026). Domain registered 4 December 2025.
You cannot mine a currency pair
Bitcoin can be mined: computers compete to add blocks and earn new coins. Euro-dollar exchange rates, the S&P 500 and crude-oil contracts cannot. Pinnacle Vortex offers “70+ major, minor & exotic currency pairs” for “Forex Mining” and invites you to “Mining major and minor Index CFDs”. Even its reviewers are “Linday8, Professional Mining” and “Crian, Active Mining”.

A live price of zero
The live box at the top of the chart reads “BTC/USD $0.00 — 0.00%”. The TradingView chart underneath, which is an embedded third-party widget, shows Bitcoin near 81,400. The part the operator controls is broken; the part borrowed from someone else works.
The same kit, a different coat of paint
Apart from the word swap, the page matches a broker template we have seen on several FCA-flagged sites this month — the same $1,000,000 insurance sentence, the same testimonials, the same “Available On Web Windows Android iOS” footer, and no company behind any of them.
⚠ On the record
- “Forex Mining” and “Indices Mining” — products that cannot exist.
- Live price box stuck at $0.00.
- No company, address or licence.
- FCA warning; domain from December 2025.
Before you trust a mining platform
Ask what hardware does the mining and where it sits. A legitimate cloud-mining firm names its data centres and publishes payouts on a blockchain you can verify. Then check the FCA register — Pinnacle Vortex is not on it.
Steps if you paid
Stop paying for “upgrades”. Record the wallet addresses you sent to and report them to the exchange you used. Call your bank about a recall, and report to the FCA.
Our take: a broker that does not know what its own product is called should not be trusted with your money.
