A pop-up greets every visitor to Instant Funding (instantfunding.com): “all accounts we provide to our clients are demo accounts with fictitious funds”. The firm says it has paid out more than $21.4 million since 2023. Two traders say they were not among those paid.
Instant Funding: the 1% rule and the shared IP
In October 2025 a trader with account 8024126 asked to withdraw $909. Instant Funding refused because the “same IP” was used by multiple users. He says he never shared the account and traded only from his own device, and that his internet provider in India gives customers shared, changing IP addresses, as many providers do.
In November 2025 another trader was terminated for breaking the “1% rule”. He says his risk was under 1% and that a bad fill at the wrong price, not his trade, pushed the figure over.
Challenging an Instant Funding IP or risk ruling
- If Instant Funding cites a shared IP address, ask which other user it means and on what dates.
- Many homes, offices and mobile networks share addresses.
- Keep your provider details and login times.
- If the 1% rule is cited, ask for the calculation, including the fill price, because slippage can turn a compliant order into an apparent breach.
The numbers Instant Funding publishes
| Year | Payouts claimed |
|---|---|
| 2023 | $5,039,121 |
| 2024 | $8,494,122 |
| 2025 | $5,721,984 |
| Total since 2023 | $21,406,106+ |
The site says “Est. 2021 in the UK”, claims 85,000+ traders in 180+ countries and “8 industry awards”, and offers scaling “up to $1.28M”. The domain itself was first registered in December 1999, a bought name rather than a long history. Accounts can be priced in US dollars or South African rand.
Shared-IP and 1% rules are written broadly enough to fit almost any account. When they are enforced only at payout, the fee has already been earned and the payout has not.
