A trader on a $100K Vanguard account at Upcomers (upcomers.com) made a net $7,055.10 over 187 trades. When he asked to be paid, the firm’s review accused him of six things at once: tick scalping, “quick strike”, martingale, hedging, excessive position size and reactive trading.
The pitch — Upcomers
| Headline | “Get Funded Up to $1.5M & Up to 100% Profit Split” |
|---|---|
| Claims | “Trusted by 80k+ traders”, “$10.5M+” rewards sent |
| Banner on 27 Oct | “BLACK FRIDAY” — in October |
| Phones | A Dutch +31 number and a US +1 844 number |
| New product | 24/7 perpetuals “filled on Hyperliquid liquidity” |
| Domain first registered | 12 May 2003 |
The domain is older than most prop firms: upcomers.com was first registered in 2003, long before the current business, so its age says nothing about the firm’s track record. A “Black Friday” sale running in October is a pressure tactic, built to make traders buy evaluations before they read the rules.
Vague rules are where prop-firm payouts disappear. “Reactive trading” and “quick strike” have no industry definition. If a firm cannot point to the trade that broke a rule, the rule is being written at payout time.

Upcomers and the six accusations
The trader, writing in August 2026, says the firm gave only general statements, not specific trades, to support any of the six. An earlier trader, in March 2026, said Upcomers refused to define what it means by “HFT”, refused manual reviews, and used account resets and rule changes to stop traders from being paid. He says he kept all emails, screenshots and video recordings.
