Faith as the sales pitch
The homepage headline is “Wealth with principles.” Every section leans on Islamic finance vocabulary: amanah (trust), riba-free, Mudarabah and Wakalah structures, “minimizing gharar”, halal sectors only, “no speculation, no leverage”. The backdrop is the Kuala Lumpur skyline. The four plans are called Amanah, Barakah, Crest and Legacy.
Affinity fraud — targeting people through shared faith or community — is one of the most effective investment scams, because trust in the language becomes trust in the seller. In Malaysia, Islamic investment products are regulated, and a genuine Shariah-compliant fund names its Shariah adviser, its fund manager and its SC approval.

Everything that matters is behind the login
Each plan card carries the same two tags, “Shariah-screened · Profit-and-loss sharing”, and a link: “Open an account to view plans”. There is no minimum investment, no profit rate, no fee table, no fund document and no named Shariah board on the public page. The “How it works” section says you verify your identity, choose a plan “together with your relationship manager”, and “profit distributions are credited to your account balance” — a balance on the operator’s own dashboard, not in a bank or custodian you can check.
Hiding terms until after sign-up means the pitch happens in private, by phone or chat, where nothing is on the record.

How to check an Islamic investment in Malaysia
Ask for the fund’s name, its SC approval and its Shariah adviser, then confirm each on sc.com.my. Check the SC Investor Alert List before you share identity documents. A real product will tell you its terms before it asks for your IC.
The verdict: Golden Crest Islamic Investment sells trust in the language of Islamic finance, hides every term behind a sign-up, and is on the Securities Commission Malaysia’s Investor Alert List. Do not open an account.
