Verdict up front: Gerard McMann (gerardmcmann.com) sells “AI-powered” trading “where trading meets Formula 1”, retirement IRAs and crypto, and says client accounts are protected by SIPC up to $500,000 plus $30 million through Lloyd’s of London. It publishes no licence and says it keeps its registration documents off the website. British Columbia’s BCSC warned about it on 30 July 2026.

Insurance it cannot show
“Client securities accounts at Gerard McMann are protected by the Securities Investor Protection Corporation”, the site says, with “excess SIPC coverage through underwriters at Lloyd’s of London” of $30 million per account. SIPC only covers registered US broker-dealers. The site gives no SEC or FINRA registration, no CRD number and no SIPC membership. The wording closely follows a large real broker’s own disclosure.

In its footer the firm says that, to prevent fraud, “we do not publish certain legal documentation directly on our website” — registration certificates and licences are available by emailing support. A licensed broker’s licence is public by law. Hiding it is the warning.
Every trade ‘incredibly profitable’
A testimonial from “Tom Pettersen, accountant” in Norway says “every trade has been incredibly profitable”. Another describes moving an IRA pension to Gerard McMann. The hero image is a Formula 1 car carrying other companies’ sponsor logos.
