Geldermans sells itself on institutional credibility — “Trade Stocks & Crypto With Institutional Confidence”, “Bank-Grade Encryption”, “Fully Transparent”. The badge it wears to prove that is the part that does not hold up.

A Dubai regulator, a Bristol address, no number
The site displays “VARA Regulated”. VARA is Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority. The address printed on the same site is “2 Glass Wharf, Bristol BS2 0EL, United Kingdom”. A Dubai virtual-asset licence does not authorise a business operating from Bristol to serve European clients, and in any case no licence number is given, so there is nothing to look up. A real VARA permission has a number and a named licensee.
It also says it does not hold your funds
Read further and the site states “Geldermans does not directly hold client funds”. That single line undercuts the badge above it: the entity wearing the regulatory label is, on its own account, not the entity doing the regulated thing. Whoever does hold the money is never named. When a platform will not tell you who has custody, you cannot find out who to chase.
The numbers on the page are decoration
The dashboard mock-up shows “Total Portfolio Value $124,593.42”. The copy-trading section lists “J_Smith_Capital … Risk Score: 4/10 … +42.5% Return (1Y)” and “AnnaK_Crypto … Risk Score: 6/10 … +128.2% Return (1Y)”, and invites you to “Mirror their positions automatically while maintaining full transparency”. These are illustrations with names attached, not audited track records. A 128% one-year return presented beside a risk score of 6/10 is a marketing graphic.
An old domain wearing a new brand
Geldermans.com was registered on 26 November 1999. The footer reads “© 2024 Geldermans Inc.”. A domain twenty-five years older than the brand on it usually means an expired name was bought for the age and authority it carries. That is worth knowing before you treat the site as a long-established firm.
What we verified
- Domain geldermans.com created 26 November 1999, registrar GoDaddy (registry record, checked 24 September 2026).
- The homepage shows “VARA Regulated” with no licence number, alongside a Bristol, UK address.
- The same site states “Geldermans does not directly hold client funds”.
- Copy-trading figures “+42.5% Return (1Y)” and “+128.2% Return (1Y)” are shown without any audited source.
- AMF crypto-asset derivatives blacklist, entry dated 10/04/2026.
An AMF listing means the regulator looked for an authorisation and did not find one. It is not proof of fraud. But a firm that shows a Dubai badge from a Bristol address, prints no licence number, and admits it does not hold your funds has given you three good reasons to ask harder questions before depositing.
