Verdict up front: CriptoBanc calls itself a “Private Family Investment Group – By Invitation Only” offering crypto custody, staking and an OTC desk. FINMA has put it on its warning list. Its site claims to be “licensed under progressive regulatory frameworks” without naming a single regulator.

The FINMA warning
Switzerland’s financial regulator, FINMA, added CriptoBanc to its warning list in May 2026. FINMA uses that list for firms it believes may be offering financial services without the licence Swiss law requires. The entry lists criptobanc.com and Rue Ferdinand Hodler 23, 1207 Genève.
A FINMA warning does not mean every client has lost money. It means the regulator has looked and cannot find the authorisation this firm would need. Anyone dealing with it has no Swiss supervisor to turn to.
What the website shows
The homepage describes “a world-class financial hub” with wealth management, “Institutional Staking”, an “OTC Desk”, “Deep-Cold Storage” and “Multi-Sig Governance”. It says it is “licensed under progressive regulatory frameworks” — but names no regulator and no licence number.
“By invitation only” is a sales technique: it makes an offer feel exclusive and discourages outside checks. The domain criptobanc.com dates from January 2018; an older domain can make a new operation look established.

What this means for you
Crypto sent to an unlicensed “bank” is usually unrecoverable. There is no Swiss protection here.
Before you fund any broker account
- Search the FINMA warning list (finma.ch) and your own regulator’s register before sending money to any “Swiss” firm.
- A Swiss street address is not a Swiss licence. Genuine FINMA-supervised firms appear on FINMA’s own list of authorised institutions.
- Check the domain’s age. A young domain behind an “established” firm is a warning sign.
- Check the contact details. Foreign mobile numbers and emails on a different domain from the website do not belong to a real Swiss bank or broker.
- “By invitation only” is a pressure tactic, not a credential.

Our view: CriptoBanc is on FINMA’s warning list and claims licences it never names. Keep your money and your crypto away from it.
