Institutional Funding (institutional-funding.com) sells itself on clarity. Its homepage promises “Absolute Clarity”, “No hidden mechanics” and “100% Transparent” rules. A trader who passed its challenge says he was then failed on a rule that was not in the terms when he paid.
A stop-loss rule that arrived late
In April 2026 a trader from Romania said he followed every rule written on the site and passed the challenge. At verification he was rejected for breaking a “mandatory Stop Loss” rule. He says that rule was not in the terms and conditions when he bought the accounts, and that one of the firm’s consultants had told him by phone that such limits did not apply in the challenge phase.
“They are inventing rules on the fly to avoid validating my profit,” he wrote, and warned scalpers and manual traders in particular.
What the firm promises
| Tagline | “Broker-backed Trader Funding” |
|---|---|
| Claims | $3.16M+ paid, 12,515+ live traders |
| Accounts | $10K to $500K, from $70 |
| Payout pledge | Within 2 business days or $500 compensation, “GUARANTEED” |
| Company | Registered at Intershore Chambers, Road Town, Tortola, BVI (No. 2181821) |
| Domain registered | 28 October 2025 |
The domain was registered exactly a year ago today. In that year the firm says it has paid more than $3 million. Its own footer says the company does not accept deposits or offer brokerage, which leaves the challenge fee as the product it sells.
Institutional Funding also promises a live MT5 account “from day one”. A live account with real fills makes a verification-stage rejection more serious, not less: it means the profit was real, and so is the money the trader is being denied.
