The site at bdcinvest-capital.com calls itself “Barings Capital”. That is a borrowed name: Barings is a long-established, regulated asset manager, and nothing on this site connects to it. The UK FCA has warned about bdcinvest-capital.com (IOSCO I-SCAN, checked 20 October 2026). The domain was registered on 7 May 2026 — about five months ago.
Four offices, one phone number
The contact page lists offices at 20 Old Bailey in London, Unterlindau 29 in Frankfurt, Rue du Marché 28 in Geneva and Bahnhofplatz 1 in Zurich. Every one of them carries the same telephone number: +49 69 205690491, a Frankfurt number. Real multi-country firms have local switchboards; a single shared line for four countries is what a call centre looks like.

Even the email lives elsewhere
The site is bdcinvest-capital.com. The support address is support@bdccapital-invest.org — the same letters shuffled, on another domain. Operators of copycat sites keep several near-identical domains so that when one is reported, the next is ready.

What it sells
“Invest & Trade 3,000+ different Forex, Stocks, Indices, Crypto & Commodities” on “an innovative platform powered by artificial intelligence”, with menus for Account Types, News, Careers and an “Impressum” — the German legal notice page, used to look established. There is no licence number, and no company number that matches any registered Barings entity.
⚠ Confirmed on the live site
- Uses the Barings name on an unrelated domain.
- Four countries’ offices share one Frankfurt phone number.
- Support email on a different domain.
- Listed by the FCA; domain registered 7 May 2026.
Telling a clone from the real firm
Find the genuine company’s entry on the FCA register and compare the website field with the address in your browser. If they differ, you are not dealing with that company. Call the genuine firm on the number from the register — never one taken from the site that contacted you.
Next steps for anyone who paid
- Freeze contact with the caller; clone brokers often follow up with “compliance” fees.
- Call your bank on the number on your card.
- Report to the FCA’s scam line and to Action Fraud.
- If you sent crypto, give the receiving address to the exchange you used.
Verdict: a famous name on a five-month-old domain, four offices on one phone line. Do not deal with it.
