Verdict up front: 81EX leads with one claim above all others: “A Globally Compliant Flagship in Digital Finance”, reinforced by “Global Compliance, Rock-Solid Security” and “Returns You Can Count On”. It names no regulator, no licence and no company. France blacklisted it on 16 March 2026.

The AMF blacklist
France’s market regulator, the AMF, maintains a public blacklist of websites offering investment services to French residents without the authorisation the law requires. 81ex.com was added on 16 March 2026.
Being on that list is not a finding about any one client’s experience. It means the regulator looked for an authorisation and did not find one — so there is no supervisor, no ombudsman and no compensation scheme behind this firm, and nowhere to take a complaint if money goes in and does not come out.
Compliance as a slogan
Most unlicensed platforms avoid the subject of regulation. 81EX does the opposite — it builds the entire brand on it. The hero headline is about compliance. The first benefit block is “Global Compliance, Rock-Solid Security”. The second is “Expertise You Can Trust, Returns You Can Count On”.
Compliance with what, though? A compliant exchange names its regulator and its licence number, because that is the only form the claim can take. There is one correct way to say this sentence — “registered with X under number Y” — and 81EX does not say it anywhere on the page.
A firm whose headline promise is compliance, appearing on a regulator’s blacklist, is not a contradiction the operator overlooked. It is the claim doing exactly the job it was written for.
“Returns You Can Count On”
This is the other half. An exchange does not produce returns — the market does, and it does so unpredictably. Promising returns that can be counted on is a promise about outcomes, and it is the kind of statement that, made by an authorised firm, would draw a regulator’s attention on its own.
The eight-year-old domain
81ex.com was first registered in October 2017, which makes it unusual in this company — most blacklisted sites are months old. An older domain is not reassurance. Aged domains are bought and sold precisely because age reads as credibility, and a registration date tells you when the name was created, not who has been using it or what for.
PSAN, and the register that is missing
Offering crypto-asset services to French residents requires registration with the AMF as a PSAN. That register is public and searchable. 81EX quotes no PSAN number, and appears on the blacklist instead.

How to test a compliance claim in one minute
Ask the platform for two things in writing: the name of the regulator, and the licence or registration number. Then look that number up on the regulator’s own website — not a link the platform sends you. A compliant firm answers in one line. Everything else is a slogan.
Before you fund any broker account
- Look for a licence number you can check on the regulator’s own website — a company registration number is not a licence.
- Check the domain’s age and compare it with the company’s age.
- Treat a bonus of 100% or more as a warning sign. Bonus terms are the usual reason withdrawals get refused.
- Read review dates and reviewer histories. A handful of five-star reviews from one-review accounts is not a track record.
- “Compliant” is not a claim until it names a regulator and a number. Look the number up on the regulator’s own site, never on a link the firm gives you.

Our view: 81EX sells compliance as its headline feature and names no regulator, licence or company, while sitting on the French blacklist. Do not deposit.
