Verdict up front: MoonX (moonx.io, which forwards to moon-x.io) promises “300+ cryptos, indices and forex with professional-grade leverage” — “up to ×1000 leverage, zero commission”, “no KYC to start”, and a $1 minimum. France’s regulator, the AMF, warned about it on 27 February 2026.

1000x leverage is not a feature
At 1000x, a 0.1% move against you wipes out the position. EU rules cap retail crypto and forex leverage at a small fraction of that for this reason. Offering 1000x to anyone with a dollar is a design built to lose clients’ money quickly.

No KYC means no protection
“Create a free account with just your email, no KYC required.” Identity checks are a legal duty for regulated platforms. A platform that skips them also skips the anti-fraud rules that come with them — and has no obligation to know who it is paying out to.

Withdraw anytime?
The page says “No credit card · No KYC · Withdraw anytime”. On unregulated platforms, KYC is often demanded only when you try to withdraw, along with a fee. The easy start is the trap.
‘Connect your AI’
A badge invites users to “Connect your AI — powered by MCP”, and there is a “Get Funded” prop-trading menu. Fashionable features are used to make an unlicensed exchange feel cutting-edge.
⚠ Verified evidence
- AMF (France) warning about moonx.io, 27 February 2026.
- Leverage up to ×1000.
- “No KYC to start”, minimum $1.
- Domain forwards to a second address, moon-x.io.
How to check
Search the firm’s exact name and web address on the register of the regulator in your own country, and on IOSCO’s I-SCAN list. A real broker shows a licence number you can look up in under a minute.
What to do if you paid MoonX
- Stop sending money — no “tax”, “release fee” or “upgrade” will unlock a withdrawal.
- Keep every record: receipts, wallet addresses, emails and chat screenshots.
- Call your bank or card issuer today and ask about a chargeback or recall.
- Report it to the regulator that issued the warning and to your local police.
- Ignore anyone who offers to recover the money for an upfront fee.
The verdict: MoonX removes every safeguard a regulated exchange must have. France’s AMF has blacklisted it. Do not deposit.
